Seminars are one of the core aspects of the Showcase experience. Held in The Trinity Mirror Seminar Zone in the far end of the Dolman Hall, they are free, informative and must be booked beforehand. Tickets are available, are free and are booked using the links below.

Since day 1, we have engaged some of the very best business speakers and leaders: from Bev James and Karen Brady, to Levi Roots and Wing Commander Green - the world's fastest man.
For 11th October, the Keynotes take place in the Production People Theatre which is located in the South Stand Concourse of The Stadium.

Bev Hurley CBE is delighted to be part of this important event for ambitious businesses. As a serial entrepreneur with over 30 years experience of building successful companies, and now as an angel investor and non-exec helping high growth companies scale, she hopes her first hand experiences of going from zero to £multi-million - and all the lessons learned on the way - will help and inspire others.
Bev is also Chair of the Institute of Economic Development and CEO of YTKO.
11.30am - 12.00pm - Tim Bowles, West of England Metro Mayor
Production People Theatre (Main Stage)
On the 4th May 2017 Tim was elected as the first West of England Regional Mayor for the newly formed Combined Authority. As the new Mayor, he will working closely with Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire Council on key issues such as transport, housing and skills.
Tim was an experienced South Gloucestershire Councillor, representing the Winterbourne ward and served as part of the leadership team at South Gloucestershire Council.
Tim has also enjoyed a successful career in sales and marketing, most recently as New Business Manager for a global events company. Tim also served as a Governor at the largest school in South Gloucestershire from 2003 to 2015 and is passionate about education. He also acts as a dementia champion, supporting charities in this field.

The Times have listed him as the most influential and powerful teenager on the planet, whilst Richard Branson has called him "one of the UK's most exciting entrepreneurs". Ben started in business aged 11 and in 2017 agreed a multi-million pound merger. He has 1000 customers and 22 staff and a successful marketing agency. Ben will be interviewed on stage by sales expert and mentor Alison Edgar of Sales Coaching Solutions.

BSSW Speed Networking
These free sessions take place in the furthest end of the Dolman Hall at The Stadium in The Speed Networking Zone. There are three professionally hosted sessions during the day and they are a proven, excellent way to make dozens of new business contacts, face-to-face.
Places are limited so be sure to turn up early. It's on a first-come/first-served basis.

Breakfast networking
The breakfast event presented by Andrea Sexton PR, is a separate, pay-for event, that starts early (7.30am) on the day of the Business Showcase on 11th October. It's a superb way to begin your experience and held in the Sports Bar at the new Ashton Gate Stadium.
